This large jar is ovular in shape, with four lines carved across its horizontal axis periodically. The jar shape turns inward from the third line from the bottom. where the fourth line serves as the base of the neck of the jar opening. The natural ash glaze is not applied evenly, but looks as ip it dripped down the sides of the jar in some areas.

This mirror box is decorated with lacquer and mother-of-pearl inlaid designs. Thelid of the box opens upwards, and has brass hinges and a closure in the sahpe of a flower. The lower drawer has a handle in the shape of a bat.<br /> <br /> This box has a mirror attached to the inside of its lid and was used by women. The box is decorated with hexagon and bamboo motifs by employing <em>kkeuneumjil</em> and <em>jureumjil</em> techniques. Hinges made of nickel are decorated with chiseled peonies on a ringmat ground. The corner brackets, or side wrappers, are in &ldquo;I&rdquo; shape. The single drawer has a handle in the shape of a bat, realistic to the extent of depicting antenna. Lacquer was heavily repainted on the base of the drawer. The frame of the mirror inside was decorated with fret-patterned band on left and right sides, and saw-tooth design on upper and lower sides. <p>[Korean Collection, University of Michigan Museum of Art (2017) p. 266]</p>

This ovular box, although flat on the bottom, has a lid decorated with curved ridges and protrusions that arch across the surface. The entire exterior is speckled with tiny craters, breaking up the illusion of a perfectly smooth surface. The ash glaze decorates the lidded box with an earthy brown color. The glaz pools in the valleys of the lid and small craters throughout, creating areas of darker hue. The meeting of the lid and box body is not a straight line, but rugged.

Container made by turning a single piece of wood on a lathe. Lid is crowned with mushroom-shaped knob, and shoulder is formed around mouth to support lid. The lid and body are ribbed. A letter resembling the Chinese character &#39;mok&#39; meaning wood or tree is written in onk on the base of the container. The inside shows traces of having been carved with a knife.<br /> <br /> These containers were made by turning single pieces of wood on a lathe. Their lids are crowned with mushroom-shaped knobs, and shoulder is formed around the mouth to support the lid. Plate 345 (UA2004.60) is decorated with sets of double concentric circles at two places of the upper surface of its lid, and at one place around its side. Also around the body are carved two sets of double circles, and the container is painted with red ocher. Meanwhile, the lid and the body of plate 346 (UA2004.61) are ribbed. A letter resembling the Chinese character &ldquo;mok (木: wood or tree)&rdquo; is written in ink on the base of this container. I
